Top wrestlers from the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy are fighting for bragging rights at the 2007 Armed Forces Wrestling Championships, March 23-24.

The event will take place at Fort Carson in Colorado.

"In this event you have all four services competing in one of the best competitions," said Shon Lewis, coach of the U.S. Army team. "In every weight class you have a nationally ranked wrestler. It is an intense competition."

The event will include duals between each team in both men's freestyle and Greco-Roman styles.

Some of the top competitors to look for include:

- Dremiel Byers (Colorado Springs, Colo/U.S. Army): 2002 World Champion, nine-year World team member
- Glenn Garrison (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army): Third in 2006 U.S. Nationals, Second in 2005 U.S. Nationals
- Aaron Sieracki (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army): Second in 2006 World Team Trials, 2006 Armed Forces Champion
- Keith Sieracki (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army): Second at 2006 and 2005 U.S. Nationals
- Justin Millard (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Air Force), Third in 2005 U.S. World Team Trials
- Jake Clark (South Saint Paul, Minn./U.S. Marine Corps): 2006 World Team Trials champion, Second in 2005 World Team Trials
- Philip Johnston (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Air Force): Third in 2006 U.S. Nationals, Fourth in 2005 World Team Trials

The U.S. Army won the team title in both styles last year by sweeping all duals and seek to finish on top again.

Back to defend titles from last year are the Army's Garrison and Byers; the Marines' Clark; and the Air Force's Millard.

The Greco-Roman competition will begin at 10 a.m. on April 23 and the freestyle competition will begin at 9 a.m. on April 24.

The rivalry between the branches of the U.S. military is intense and the wrestling is very entertaining. Fans are encouraged to witness this world-class wrestling action.
