Robbie Smith named OW in Greco-Roman as United States grabs four gold medals at Canada Cup

GUELPH, ONTARIO, CANADA - Robbie Smith was named Outstanding Wrestler in Greco-Roman after he joined three other Americans in winning Canada Cup wrestling titles on Sunday.
Smith, who competes for the New York Athletic Club, won the title at 96 kg/211.5 lbs. Also winning titles for the U.S. were Nate Engel at 60 kg/132 lbs., Spenser Mango at 66 kg/145.5 lbs. and Chad Hemerson at 74 kg/163 lbs.
The United States won the team title.
Smith, one of the top young American prospects in Greco-Roman, will take aim at a Junior World title later this year in Beijing, China.
Engel, Mango and Hemerson each wrestle for the U.S. Olympic Education Center program at Northern Michigan University. Mango, a 2006 World University champion, recently placed second at the U.S. World Team Trials.
