Jake Herbert, Northwestern
Jr., 184, Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny

Herbert, ranked No. 1 at 184 pounds, was named Most Outstanding Wrestler of the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals. He went 5-0 as Northwestern finished eighth - the first time it has placed at the National Duals in program history. Herbert outscored opponents, 66-14, before scoring a pin on Iowa's Philip Keedy. Herbert scored three major decisions (12-0, 17-5, 16-4), a technical fall (21-5) and a pin during the National Duals. It was the junior's first action on the mat since the All-Star Classic on Nov. 20, when he notched a major decision over Minnesota's Roger Kish. This is Herbert's fourth weekly award of his career
