Norman Borlaug to Attend Minnesota vs. Iowa Wrestling Showdown

Norman Borlaug, the 1970 Nobel Peace Prize winner and former University of Minnesota wrestler, will be attending the Minnesota vs. Iowa Wrestling Showdown on Friday, Nov. 15, at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. Borlaug, an agronomist, is credited with launching the 'Green Revolution,' increasing crop yields 10-fold. He will be present at a pre-meet reception at the arena with wrestling legend Dan Gable. Borlaug wrestled at Minnesota from 1935-37. More local and national celebrities are also expected to commit to attending the Showdown, top-ranked Minnesota¹s season-opening dual meet with No. 4 Iowa.
