Juergens named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week

IOWA CITY, IA -- University of Iowa wrestler Eric Juergens was named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week earlier today. Juergens, a senior from Maquoketa, IA, is ranked #1 at 133 pounds for the Hawkeyes. He is 17-1 this season, 16-1 in dual competition, and has won 52 of his last 53 matches. He has won 16 matches this season by either pin, technical fall or major decision. Juergens is a three-time all-American and the defending national champion at 133. The Hawkeyes (15-2, 3-0) will face Michigan, Friday at 6 p.m. (CT) at Cliff Keen Arena in Ann Arbor, MI, and Penn State, Sunday at noon (CT) at Rec Hall in University Park, PA.
