Cowley College, a community college in Arkansas City, Kansas, will start a varsity wrestling team in the fall of 2017, according to local media reports.
The target for hiring a coach will be in January or February of 2017, according to these stories. (see below)

Trustees at Cowley College have given the go ahead for school administrators to launch a wrestling program at the college in the fall of 2017.
Dr. Dennis C. Rittle and athletic director Shane Larson will oversee the establishment of the new sport. The announcement was made during the monthly Board meeting held Monday in the McAtee Dining Center.
The Board also made the recommendation to retain former Arkansas City High School wrestling Coach Wayne Jackson as a consultant to Larson if Coach Jackson is willing. Jackson led the Bulldog program from 1979 to 2000 and won a record 13 Kansas State Team championships during his tenure.
