UWW Junior Nationals return to Las Vegas, April 27-30, with second freestyle weigh-in added

USA Wrestling will host the UWW Junior Greco-Roman and Freestyle National Championships in Las Vegas, Nev., on April 27-30 at the South Point Hotel, Spa & Casino.
The UWW Junior age group includes athletes between the ages of 17 and 20, featuring some of the country’s top high school athletes and college underclassmen wrestlers.The top eight place winners in the freestyle competition will qualify for the UWW Junior Freestyle World Team Trials in May.
The competition for UWW Junior Greco-Roman wrestlers will be held on Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29. The UWW Junior Freestyle competition will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 30.

There has been a second weigh-in added to the men’s freestyle event on Thursday, April 28 at 5 p.m. This is in addition to the originally published weigh-in time on Friday, April 29 at noon. Please click here for the full schedule of events Full UWW Junior National Championship Schedule.

The 2015 Greco-Roman UWW Junior National champions eligible to return this year are Dalton Roberts, Josiah Seaton, Jacom Stacey, Jon Jay Chavez, G’Angelo Hancock, and Tate Orndorff.

The 2015 freestyle UWW Junior national champions eligible to return this year are Danny Vega, Daton Dix, Aaron Pico, Mark Hall, Chandler Rogers, Zahid Valencia, and Anthony Cassar.

Also eligible to return this year are 2015 UWW Junior World Gold medalist Spencer Lee and UWW Junior World Bronze medalist Stevan Micic, both who competed in men’s freestyle.

Wrestlers who make reservations at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa before registering for their event will receive a discount on their registration fees.
