Travis Wittlake named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week

Travis Wittlake (Myrtle Point, Ore./Team Bucs) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week.
Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
Wittlake earned a prestigious USA Wrestling Triple Crown at the ASICS Kids Nationals on June 25 in Orem, Utah.
Wittlake won a Schoolboy Triple Crown this year at 152 pounds, capturing Schoolboy National titles in freestyle, Greco-Roman and folkstyle wrestling.
Wittlake has now won four Triple Crowns. He also won Triple Crowns as an Intermediate in 2010, a Novice in 2011 and a Schoolboy in 2013.
Ten wrestlers earned Triple Crowns last week at the ASICS Kids Nationals.
