LOVES PARK, Ill. – The first two freestyle sessions at the 16U National Duals featured the pool competitions, where teams were split into four different pools and competed in a bracket format.

In pool C, Ohio Scarlet brought down Pennsylvania Blue in a close 35-33 dual. Pennsylvania Blue edged out Ohio Scarlet with nine wins in the dual, but four of Ohio Scarlet’s wins were bonus point victories.
Minnesota Blue claimed the top spot in pool D with a 46-28 victory over Wisconsin Red. Eleven of the wins in the dual were from Minnesota Blue, including seven bonus point victories.
The top two teams in each pool also advanced to the eight-team Gold-Silver pool. The runners-up in the pool competition included Ohio Gray (Pool A), Michigan Blue (Pool B), Pennsylvania Blue (Pool C) and Wisconsin Red (Pool D).
Four rounds of the Pink and Purple/Grey pools were completed Friday night. The tournament starts again on Saturday at 9 a.m. CT.
