PHILADELPHIA – The 24th-ranked University of Pennsylvania wrestling team opened the weekend with a 23-11 victory over #20 Lehigh on Friday night at The Palestra. Penn used seven wins including two major decisions to improve to 2-0 in EIWA action.

Penn jumped out to a 7-0 lead after a decision and a major decision win to begin the night. #30 Ryan Miller earned takedowns in the first and second period to lead 4-3. Allowing his opponent points only off escapes, Miller gave Penn a 3-0 lead with a 4-3 decision. In the second bout of the night, #8 Michael Colaiocco earned the major decision with five takedowns of Killian Delaney. Lehigh got on the board with a 7-2 decision for Malyke Hines over Carmen Ferrante.

With time expiring, Spencer got the reversal for the winning two points. The win at 157 gave Penn a commanding 13-3 advantage.

After the intermission, Lucas Revano gave the home team a 17-3 lead with a major decision win over Connor Herceg. #17 Nick Incontrera followed that up with a 7-3 decision over Jake Logan. Lehigh cut Penn's lead with a decision and tech. fall win at 184 and 197. #32 Ben Goldin closed out the dual with a 2-0 decision over #31 Nathan Taylor.
