TRENTON, N.J. – Mizzou Wrestling secured its tenth straight conference championship and ninth straight MAC championship on Saturday. The Tigers set a new MAC Score record with 188.5 points, 59.5 points ahead of second-place Central Michigan.
133-pounder Matt Schmitt, 149-pounder Brock Mauller, 165-pounder Keegan O'Toole and 197-pounder Rocky Elam all secured individual MAC Champion titles.
125-pounder Noah Surtin, 157-pounder Jarrett Jacques, 174-pounder Peyton Mocco and 184-pounder Jeremiah Kent all finished in second place of their respective weight classes. 141-pounder Allan Hart and heavyweight Zach Elam both took third place. All 10 Tigers secured bids to the NCAA Championships.

HEAR FROM HEAD COACH SMITH
On Mizzou's MAC team title and four individual titles...
"The important thing is in the third place matches, we got the wins so that helped us qualify the ten wrestlers. We had some tough matches, some tough battles, but we ended up with four champions. I'm pleased with that and how those guys wrestled. Now the other guys have to get back in rothe and work on things. I'm pleased with where we're at. Having ten guys going to nationals, ten straight conference titles, winning never gets old. I'm really proud of the program and with the adversity that they've had to go through this year, the guys never flinched. This tournament, they showed up and got big wins, a lot of bonus points. We set the conference record for points. Every year it's a goal we want to beat the last Missouri team that set it. I enjoy this, I enjoy this team."
On winning MAC co-coach of the year…
"It's nice, but I think of it as a team. When you win a coaching award it represents a program that does things right. Tiger Style is about the great assistant coaches I have. I have a team doctor that took off since Monday and traveled with us. I have great trainers, great director of ops, great strength coaches and of course our administration for believing in this program and opening the room in September for us to start training and it showed. Our team was ahead of other teams in conditioning and ahead of other teams in where we're at so I'm really proud of everybody that contributed to this. I know it was tough on our parents back home that they couldn't be here, so hopefully they got to watch it on the streaming. We really missed hearing from them. We're bringing home the trophy to Missouri and we're proud of that."

Editor's Note: Central Michigan's Matt Stencel became the ninth four-time MAC champion and the first wrestler to do so at heavyweight.
