Macey Kilty Named USA Wrestling Athlete Of The Week

Macey Kilty stands atop of the podium after winning gold at the Muhamet Malo Ranking Series
Macey Kilty (North Liberty, Iowa/Iowa Women’s WC/Titan Mercury WC) has been named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week.
Kilty captured her second medal of the 2026 season after winning gold at the Muhamet Malo Ranking Series this past weekend. Kilty stormed through the field at 62 kg in Tirana, Albania, where three of her four wins came via technical fall. She also outscored her opposition 42-2.
The two-time World medalist capped off her gold medal performance with a 12-2 victory over age-group World champion Anastasiia Sidelnikova of UWW. Kilty’s semifinal victory came against 2024 Olympian Johanna Lindborg of Sweden, 9-0.
To start the tournament, Kilty earned 10-0 wins over age-group World medalist Amina Capezan of Romania and World bronze medalist Ilona Prokopevniuk of Ukraine.
Earlier this season, Kilty won the bronze medal at the Zagreb Open, the first United World Wrestling Ranking Series of 2026.
Kilty has now medaled in her last four Ranking Series events, collecting one gold, one silver and two bronze.
