United World Wrestling has released its men’s freestyle seeds for the 2025 Senior World Championships based upon the preliminary entry list for the competition.
Four U.S. athletes garnered a seed, led by 2024 Olympic silver medalist Spencer Lee, who took the top spot at 57 kg. Olympic champion and three-time World champion Kyle Snyder slots in as the No. 3 seed at 97 kg. 2023 World bronze medalist Zahid Valencia holds the No. 4 seed at 86 kg. Two-time age-group World medalist Trent Hidlay snuck in with the No. 8 seed at 92 kg.
The remaining six U.S. entrants—Jax Forrest, Real Woods, PJ Duke, David Carr, Levi Haines and Wyatt Hendrickson—will enter the men’s freestyle tournament unseeded.
Seeds are determined based upon the aggregation of ranking points for the year, which are earned by placements at the previous year’s World Championships, plus continental championships and ranking series events.
A complete list of entries for the Senior World Championships is available at uww.org. Entries are subject to change up to 72 hours prior to the official draw.
The Senior World Championships will be held September 13-21 at Arena Zagreb in Zagreb, Croatia. The men’s freestyle portion of the competition will lead off the week.
