MONTERREY, Mexico – The final day of Greco-Roman at the 2025 Senior Pan American Championships featured two weight classes, and the USA has a chance to win a medal in them both on Friday night.
Going for a gold at 72 kg is 2020 Olympian Alejandro Sancho at 72 kg, and battling for a bronze at 97 kg is his U.S. Army WCAP teammate Michial Foy.
Sancho was dominant on Friday morning, scoring three straight technical falls and outscoring his opponents by a 25-0 margin. He will have a rematch in the finals against Nilton Soto Garcia of Peru, who Sancho defeated in his second match, 8-0.
Foy had a 1-2 record in his group competition, including a 6-1 decision over Luillys Perez Mora of Venezuela.
