Manheim, Pennsylvania - Several ranked matchups and notable results highlighted the week in Division I men’s wrestling as the NWCA Division I Men’s Wrestling Coaches Poll was released on Tuesday.

Penn State improved to 4-0 with a 40-7 win over Wyoming, extending its win streak to 75 in a row, tying the Nittany Lions for the fifth-longest win streak in college wrestling history. Penn State is one behind the all-time major college (Division I) mark of 76 set by Oklahoma State from 1937-1951. They’re two behind the NCAA record set by Division II St. Cloud State from 2017-22.

Ohio State remained unbeaten at 8-0 after defeating No. 9 NC State 26-10. Iowa picked up two wins, beating Chattanooga 37-6 and Utah Valley 33-7, while fifth-ranked Oklahoma State added a ranked victory with a 34-3 win over then-No. 17 West Virginia.

No. 12 Northern Iowa earned a ranked win over then-No. 14 Missouri, 22-14, while No. 14 Pittsburgh defeated Maryland 35-3.

Oklahoma went 2-0 and jumped five spots to No. 15 with wins over then-No. 12 Rutgers, 19-14, and Rider, 26-15. North Carolina stayed unbeaten with a 27-7 win over West Virginia. The Tar Heels moved up six spots to No. 16 this week.

Rutgers split its week with a win over Drexel after falling to Oklahoma. No. 21 Wisconsin remained undefeated, while Indiana added a win over Army West Point.

Several ranked matchups are scheduled for the coming week, highlighted by multiple bouts at the Journeymen Collegiate Duals in Nashville, Tennessee. No. 3 Iowa State is scheduled to face No. 20 Lehigh and No. 2 Ohio State in Nashville, while No. 10 Illinois will meet No. 18 Cornell and No. 20 Lehigh at the same event.

No. 1 Penn State is slated to face No. 23 Stanford, with No. 18 Cornell also scheduled to wrestle Little Rock in Nashville. Outside of the Journeymen Collegiate Duals, No. 5 Oklahoma State travels to face No. 6 Nebraska, while No. 16 North Carolina has ranked road matchups against No. 6 Nebraska and No. 12 Northern Iowa. Additional ranked action includes No. 14 Pittsburgh hosting Edinboro.
