Still time to join the strong field at the Boys National HS Recruiting Showcase in Des Moines, Iowa, October 25-27

There is still an opportunity for talented and successful high school wrestlers to join the strong field in the Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase, which will be held at Hyvee Hall at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Iowa, October 25-27.
This popular event is being held alongside the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals, which will also be at the Iowa Events Center that weekend.
This is an elite competition in which all of the entries must have met specific performance requirements in order to qualify. The boys will be competing in folkstyle, which is the style they will wrestle in college.
Register for the Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase
USA Wrestling traditionally tracks all of the high school state champions who are entered in the National Recruiting Showcase event. As of October 1, there are 36 state champions who have registered to compete in this event, with many more expected.
Among those already registered is three-time state champions Hank Benter of Missouri (120) and Zachariah Morse of Montana (120). Two-time state champions in the field are David Hill of Alabama (113), Ian Giancola of Kansas (120), Justin Jones of Virginia (120), Cole Faircloth of Nevada (126), Brock Johnson of Kansas (132), Makael Aguay of Montana (138) and David Gutierrez of New Mexico (285).
The opponents for these state champions are guaranteed to be very talented. Each of those entered must have met at least one of these qualifying standards:
- High School Association State Champions – Any year
- High School State Placers (2023-24 school year)
- National Prep Champions
- USA Wrestling National All-American status Place 1st-8th: (Preseason Nationals, Boys and Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase, Women’s Freestyle Nationals, Girls and Boys Folkstyle Nationals, and 16U/ Junior Nationals)
- U15 and U17 National Placer (Must be currently enrolled in High School)
- NHSCA Virginia Beach Placer (9th –12th grade Divisions ONLY)
Wrestlers seeking high quality matches prior to the start of the high school season are encouraged to test themselves against the athletes who have qualified for the Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase.
Please note: Any high school boy who does not meet the qualifying standards for the Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase should enter in the 9th-10th Grade or the 11th-12th Grade divisions of the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals,
In addition to the boys high school divisions, the Brian Keck Preseason Nationals also has the following boys divisions: 7th-8th Grade, 5th-6th Grade, 3rd-4th Grade, 1st-2nd Grade. There is girls folkstyle competition at the following age groups: Girls High School (9th-12th grade), Girls Middle School (6th-8th grade), Girls 3rd-5th grade and Girls 1st-2nd grade.
There are currently more than 3,350 entries for the combined Brian Keck Preseason Nationals/Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase. Athletes who wish to compete are encouraged to register right away before the event becomes sold out.
