The 2024 16U Girls National Duals Freestyle All-Tournament Team has been announced, based upon results from the 16U Girls National Duals freestyle division, held in Westfield, Indiana, Thursday and Friday.
Athletes who went undefeated in their dual meet matches in freestyle qualified for the All-Tournament Team, needing a minimum of five victories to be included.
In freestyle, there were 27 athletes on the Girls Freestyle All-Tournament Team, representing 14 different states.
Pennsylvania had the most athletes on the Girls Freestyle All-Tournament team with six. Wisconsin was next with four athletes on the Girls Freestyle All-Tournament Team. Virginia and Texas both had three athletes each on the All-Tournament Team, with Indiana having two All-Tournament Team members. States with one wrestler on the Girls Freestyle All-Tournament Team were Iowa, Georgia, Oklahoma, Michigan, Tennessee, Minnesota, Ohio, Missouri and Florida.
There were 14 wrestlers who finished with a 9-0 record for the freestyle event: Katelyn Rowles of Indiana (88), Makayla Smith of Pennsylvania Blue (94), Alliya Walker of Virginia (94), Jaclyn Bouzakis of Pennsylvania Blue (100), Morgan Hyland of Pennsylvania Blue (106), Sarissa Tucker of Virginia (106), Julia Horger of Pennsylvania Blue (112), Emma Bacon of Pennsylvania Blue (124), Naima Ghaffar of Indiana (130), Sophia Slaughter of Virginia (136), Violette Lasure of Pennsylvania Blue (142), Makaylee Cannon of Oklahoma (148), Elizabeth Madison of Ohio Blue (170) and Isabella Mcfarlane of Florida (190).
The tournament concludes on Saturday with the Greco-Roman division, held alongside the 14U Girls National Duals in Greco-Roman. Session times are 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
