Pennsylvania Blue is No. 1 seed in freestyle at the Girls National Duals at both the 16U and 14U levels

WESTFIELD, Indiana – The freestyle seeds have been released for both the 16U Girls National Duals and the 14U Girls National Duals, and the same state is seeded No. 1 in both tournaments – Pennsylvania.

In the Girls 16U Freestyle National Duals, No. 1 seed Pennsylvania Blue will the top seed in Pool A. No. 2 seed Texas Blue will be the top seed in Pool B. No. 3 seed Oklahoma Outlaws Blue will be the top seed in Pool C. No. 4 seed Wisconsin will be the top seed in Pool D.

The seeded teams are based upon the average PIN rating of each of the athletes on the state team rosters. Here are the top 16 seeded teams in the Girls 16U National Duals tournament.

14U Girls National Freestyle Duals brackets

The 16U Girls National Duals is a new tournament, so there are no returning team champions and placewinners.

Last year, in a 12-team tournament, Pennsylvania won the 14U Girls Freestyle National Duals, defeating Washington in the championship finals, 39-20. Pennsylvania opened the dual meet with five straight victories and never looked back. Placing third was Michigan, which defeated Wisconsin in a tight 32-31 battle. Rounding out the top eight were Minnesota in fifth, Ohio in sixth, Oklahoma in seventh and Arizona in eighth.

Session times on Thursday are 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

All of the action in both 16U and 14U divisions will be broadcast live by FloWrestling
