FARGO, N.D. – It was an action-packed semifinals in the USMC 16U Freestyle Nationals on Wednesday morning, with numerous close matches determining who still has a chance to become champion.

Three returning champions reached the finals, Shamus Regan of Pennsylvania at 113, Jayden James of New Jersey and Aaron Stewart of Illinois at 165.

Regan scored a 5-0 shut out win over Shea Richter of South Dakota in the semifinals and will battle Paul Ruiz of California in the finals.

James scored a 13-3 technical fall over Eli Esguerra of Ohio in the semifinals, and draws Maximus Dhabolt of Iowa in the finals.
