U.S. Senior Greco-Roman talents to compete in Thor Masters in Denmark, March 1-2

A team of Senior U.S. Greco-Roman athletes will compete at the respected Thor Masters in Nykobing Falster, Denmark, March 1-2.

The group is a mix of experienced talents and some rising young stars, all seeking a quality international event prior to the upcoming Olympic Trials.

2022 Senior World Team member Braxton Amos will compete at 97 kg. Amos was a 2021 U20 World champion in freestyle and bronze medalist in Greco-Roman.

Other athletes on the tour who have been on the Senior National Team (which includes the top three in the nation at each weight class are Payton Jacobson at 77 kg and Richard Carlson at 87 kg.

This team features a number of U.S. age-group World Team members, with a few age-group World medalists. Andrew Berreyesa, a 2018 U20 World silver medalist, is competing at 87 kg. Aden Attao, a 2022 U20 World bronze medalist, will compete at 130 kg.

Others with World experience are Max Black (60 kg), a two-time U20 World Team member, Michael Altomer (97 kg), who competed on U20 and U23 World Teams in 2023 and Tonmy Brackett (87 kg), who wrestled on the 2021 U23 World Team.

The team will be coached by 1988 Olympian Ike Anderson and Troy Nickerson, the head coach of the University of Northern Colorado. Both have coached U.S. age-group World teams and led numerous tours overseas.
