Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position will assist the finance department staff with a wide range of duties related to processing and recording financial transactions, and providing customer service support to our membership. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to delivering excellent customer experiences for internal USA Wrestling departments and to our members.

The Accounting Assistant/Customer Service Specialist is part-time (expected average of 20 hours per week and never exceeding 24 hours per week), with a required four hours on Monday and the remaining hours scheduled throughout the week, at the approval of the Director of Finance. This position is 100% in office, (no remote work) at our Colorado Springs, CO location.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile financial transactions and accounts;
  • Code and enter credit card transactions;
  • Prepare purchase orders;
  • Process and issue refunds;
  • Assist with all functions of accounts payable and accounts receivable;
  • Answer calls from our members and resolve their issues;
  • Perform other financial and administrative duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will be very comfortable in numerous computer systems, including a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics. Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central is a plus.

The ideal candidate will also have experience in and a passion for customer service. Our team provides daily support to the 300,000 USA Wrestling members and this position will actively participate in those activities.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in accounting completed or in process strongly preferred.
  • 2+ Years of Accounting Related Experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Business Central strongly preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new computer applications.
  • Previous customer service experience is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to build trust, build rapport, and convey empathy.
  • Problem-solve effectively and objectively, using discretion and judgement.
  • Possess excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USA Wrestling background screening (prior to hire date).
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport Certification within two weeks of hire date.

Travel Expectations: No travel will be required from this position.

Hiring Pay Range: $22-$26 per hour depending on experience.

The USA Wrestling Office is located in Colorado Springs, CO - ability to work from the office is required.
