LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Mario Hutcherson of the Young Guns WC in Pennsylvania is the only returning champion who has qualified for the finals this year, as the 2023 U15 Freestyle Nationals advanced through the semifinals on Thursday night in the South Point Arena. Today is day two of the Pritchard Companies U.S. Nationals.

Hucherson, who was the 68 kg champion last year, has powered into the 75 kg finals against Parker Casey of the Sebolt Wrestling Academy. Hutcherson was second in the U15 Greco-Roman Nationals, which completed on Wednesday.

Three wrestlers remain eligible for double titles this year, winning both the Greco-Roman and freestyle tournaments this week. 2024 U15 Greco-Roman Nationals champion who have reached the freestyle finals include Keegan Bassett of Young Guns WC (41 kg), Reece Movahead of the American Dream WC (52 kg) and Justice Heeg of Pinnacle WC (62 kg).

Joining Hutcherson as 2024 U15 Greco-Roman runners-up who have reached the freestyle finals are Evan Restivo of M2 Training Center (38 kg) and Camryn Howard of New York (68 kg).

Chase Karenbauer of Bad Karma WC, who was a 2023 U15 Nationals Greco-Roman champion, has advanced to the freestyle finals this year.

The U15 Freestyle Nationals conclude on Friday, with consolations and consolation semifinals at 4:00 p.m. PT, followed by the medal match finals at 6:30 p.m.
