Women’s College Opens over weekend: Albion, Spokane, 8-Woman Battle, Missouri Valley, Bill Farrell

Numerous college women were competing at Open tournaments this weekend, headlined by the large Missouri Valley Open. Other tournaments with college entries included the Albion Invitational, the Spokane Open, the 8-Woman Battles at Eau Claire and the Bill Farrell Memorial International.
Each week as appropriate, USA Wrestling will post the results from women’s college open tournaments from the weekend.
Albion Invitational (at Albion College)
Sunday, November 19
Summary: NAIA No. 10 Indiana Tech won the team title with 125 points, but the runner-up team, NCAA No. 10 Aurora, had the most champions with five at the Albion Invitational. Aurora champions were Genesis Ramirez (101), Bethany Regione (123), Natasha Markoutsis (136), Mackenzie Konanz (170) and Sydney Manos (191). Indiana Tech had one champion Maia Crumb (143), and had a double forfeit in the finals at 109 with teammates Makayla Young and Tehani Soares. NCAA Albion added two champions, Jayla Oberst (116) and Danielle Ruiz (130). The other individual champion was Niyasia McCampbell of NCAA Lakeland (155).

Umpqua CC champions were Destiny Ware (170) and Zoey Smalley (191). Other individual champions were Jhaile DeGuzman of Big Bend CC (101) and Audrey Diaz of NCAA Pacific University (136).
