Two-time NCAA champion Zahid Valencia of Arizona State earned two falls on the day.
Arizona State was the only Division I program to go undefeated today, taking out Virginia, 27-12, and Purdue, 22-19. Also noteworthy was the No. 1 and No. 2 Div II teams in the country clashing. No. 2 St. Cloud State made a statement, defeating No. 1 University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown, 31-6.
