Rutgers wrestling featured in Big Ten Super Saturdays in Madison Square Garden in 2020 and 2021

College basketball and wrestling doubleheaders set for 2020 and 2021.


ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced future matchups for Big Ten Super Saturday - College Hoops & Wrestling in 2020 and 2021 to be held at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York. College wrestling will be part of the doubleheader for the first time with this pair of events.


On Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, Michigan and Rutgers will compete in both men’s basketball and wrestling. Michigan will serve as a home team for both events in 2020. The wresting event will start at 1 p.m. ET, and air on BTN. The basketball game will tip-off at 4:30 p.m. ET, and also air on BTN.

The following year on Jan. 30, 2021, Rutgers will play Michigan State in men’s basketball while the Scarlet Knights will compete against Penn State in wrestling with Rutgers serving as the host in both competitions. Times will be announced at a later date.


The inaugural Big Ten Super Saturday took place in 2016 and has continued every year since with nine different Big Ten schools participating in the event.
