2020 Big Ten Wrestling Championships at Rutgers is sold out

Rutgers to host two-day event March 7-8 at RAC


PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Dec. 23, 2019) – Rutgers Athletics has announced all tickets for the 2020 Big Ten Wrestling Championships, held March 7-8 at the RAC, have been sold out. Fans are now directed to purchase All Session, Day 1 & Day 2 tickets from Stub Hub, the official fan-to-fan ticket marketplace of the Scarlet Knights. Parking for the sold out conference championships is still available by calling the RU Ticket Office at 1-866-445-GORU (4678).


Labeled one of the Top 5 wrestling venues in the country by NCAA.com, the RAC is set to host its first conference wrestling event since the 2013 EIWA Championships. Rutgers finished fifth nationally in average home attendance with 5,038 fan per home dual last season, as a record 40,306 fans saw the Scarlet Knights compete in Piscataway. The attendance trend has continued this season, as 5,405 fans watched Rutgers defeat Maryland, 28-11, in its 2019-20 Big Ten opener on Dec. 7 at the RAC.


With 3,027 season tickets sold for the 2019-20 campaign, the program surpassed its season tickets sold record for the fifth consecutive season. The record number also marks the second consecutive season the Scarlet Knights have sold more than 3,000 season tickets, as they exceeded last year’s total of 3,023.


Heading into winter break, the Scarlet Knights (6-0, 1-0 Big Ten ) feature six ranked wrestlers – No. 10 Nicolas Aguilar (125), No. 10 Joseph Grello (174), No. 13 Sammy Alvarez (133), No. 16 Jordan Pagano (197), No. 23 Gerard Angelo (149) and No. 23 Christian Colucci (HWT). The Scarlet Knights continue their season at the 2020 Southern Scuffle from Jan. 1-2 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
