Campbellsville and Simon Fraser neck-and-neck in WCWA team race heading into finals

OKLAHOMA CITY – The team race leader changed again after the third session of the WCWA Championships as Campbellsville won four of its seven placement matches to take back the lead over Simon Fraser.
Heading into the final session, the Lady Tigers have 184.5 points, which is 6.5 points more than SFU’s Clan. Rounding out the top-five squads are McKendree, Emmanuel College and Menlo College.
SFU still has a chance to jump forward with five wrestlers in the finals to Campbellsville’s three. The Clan are guaranteed an individual title at 123 in an all-SFU final. There is also a head-to-head between the Clan and the Tigers at 130 pounds, which is likely to have a big impact on the team race.
In the All-American count, Campbellsville leads the way with 10 with SFU and McKendree closely behind with nine apiece. Emmanuel College and four-time WCWA team champions King tallied six All-Americans over the weekend.
There were 21 other squads picking up top-eight individual finishes.
The finals are set for Saturday evening at 5 p.m. CT. Fans can watch live on FloWrestling.org.
