A team of U.S. Junior Greco-Roman wrestlers to the Austrian Open, March 4

The United States will be sending a Junior Greco-Roman team to Gotzis, Austria to compete in the seventh annual Austrian Open, March 4. Following the tournament, they will participate in a five-day international training camp.
The U.S. delegation consists of 23 Greco-Roman wrestlers, featuring many top UWW Junior-age athletes from across the nation.
Leading the team at 96 kg is Senior and Junior National Team member and 2016 Junior World bronze medalist G’Angelo Hancock (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids). Hancock is looking to improve from last year’s bronze finish.
2016 Junior World bronze medalist Taylor LaMont (Mapleton, Utah) is competing at 60 kg. La Mont was 2016 Junior Nationals champion, took fourth at the 2016 Senior Nationals and attends Utah Valley University.
Competing at 74 kg is 2016 U.S. Open champion and 2016 Junior National champion Kamal Bey (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids).
2016 U.S. Open runner-up and 2016 University Nationals champion Jesse Porter (Ballston Lake, N.Y./NYAC) will be competing at 74 kg.
Wrestling at 75 kg is 2015 Junior Nationals runner-up Andrew Berreyesa (Reno, Nev./Team Nevada Facility WC). Berreyesa also took third at Junior Nationals in 2015.
2016 Junior National team member Cohlton Schultz (Parker, Colo./Mile High WC) will be wrestling at 96 kg. Schultz took third at Junior Nationals.
Randon Miranda (Palmdale, Calif.) will be competing at 55 kg. Miranda was a silver medalist at last year’s Austria Open and is looking to improve this year.
Team is coaches by NMU-OTS head coach Rob Herman, with assistant national Greco-Roman coach Momir Petkovic and Lucas Steldt.
