MINNEAPOLIS, April 6, 2017 – J Robinson Intensive Camps has updated its 2016 documentary, J Robinson: Full Circle, at jrobinsonfullcircle.com, to reflect the recent state title of Zack Trampe, one of the wrestlers featured in the documentary. Trampe, a senior wrestler from Council Rock South High School in Southampton, Pennsylvania, and a future student-athlete at Binghamton University, claimed the 132-pound Pennsylvania Class 3A title over Jimmy Hoffman in a 4-2 decision on March 11.
J Robinson Intensive Camps was able to license use of the footage through its broadcaster, the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN), and the footage now appears as a flash-forward prologue sequence to the original film. Using the new footage in this way allows the viewers to more fully understand Zack’s drive to succeed that culminates in his triumph at the 2017 PIAA State Wrestling Championships, which is known as the most competitive state tournament in the country.
Congratulations to Zack Trampe on his amazing accomplishment, and we are excited to continue to follow his career at Binghamton!

MINNEAPOLIS, May 2, 2016 – The life of University of Minnesota Head Wrestling Coach J Robinson will take center stage in an upcoming feature-length documentary film, J Robinson: Full Circle. Directed by independent filmmaker Ryan Leer, the documentary traces Robinson’s life from childhood through the present, offering unprecedented access to one of the most influential personalities in the sport. The film chronicles multiple stages of Robinson’s life, examining how his experiences, including his abrupt exit from the University of Iowa’s wrestling program, led to the creation and development of one of the most highly regarded wrestling camp systems in the country, J Robinson Intensive Wrestling Camps.
Through Oklahoma State University, the U.S. Army as an Airborne Ranger, the Munich Olympics, the University of Iowa, and the University of Minnesota, Robinson has forged an enduring legacy in the sport of wrestling. This film offers a retrospective examination of his life, mirroring his successes and failures to the experience of attending an Intensive Camp, embodied by the ups and downs of Zack Trampe and Ben Radner, two high school wrestlers from Pennsylvania at the 28-Day Intensive Camp.
The film was shot and produced over the course of two years and includes a series of in-depth interviews with wrestling legends Dan Gable and Bruce Baumgartner, members of Robinson’s family, camp staff, the two high school wrestlers, and their high school coach, Brad Silimperi, himself an Intensive Camp graduate from 1987.
