Las Vegas to play host for Greco and women’s freestyle U.S. Senior Nationals, Dec. 17-18

The 2016 U.S. Greco-Roman and women’s freestyle Senior Nationals are set to take place next weekend, Dec. 17-18, in Las Vegas at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino.
The top-seven wrestlers will earn a bid for the 2017 World Team Trials, slated for April.
The U.S. Open champions at the Olympic weights will earn a No. 1 seed at the Trials.
Several of the nation’s top Greco and women’s freestyle wrestlers are expected to compete.

The tournament will be held alongside the 2016 Las Vegas Royal Crush, a Tour of America folkstyle event for bantam, intermediate, novice and middle school divisions as well as high school women.
The tournament starts Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. and will end Sunday evening.

USA Wrestling will release an in-depth preview next week on the athletes expected to compete.
