Regional championships to begin in late March through June 2015

Senior, Junior, Cadet and Kids division wrestlers will have an opportunity to compete in the annual Regional Championships beginning March 27 and ending with the final event on June 21.
Regional events can serve as qualifiers for national championships around the U.S. Wrestlers should visit individual events’ websites for more information on eligibility, divisions, registration, event schedules and more. A full list of national events can be found on TheMat.com.
The United States is broken into six regions: West, Southern Plains, Central, Northern Plains, Southeast and Northeast. For more information on regions, visit TheMat.com.
Regional events are open to all competitors. Cadet and Junior competitors can place in the top four in any regional event and qualify above the state limit for the ASICS/Vaughan Junior & Cadet National Championships in Fargo, North Dakota, July 18-25.
For Kids division wrestlers, in order to qualify for the ASICS Kids Freestyle & Greco-Roman National Championships, held June 30-July 2 in Wisconsin Dells, Wis., a competitor must compete in their own regional competition. Athletes who compete outside of their regional without competing at their own will not qualify for Kids Nationals. Parents and wrestlers should check their state’s policies for qualifying for and attending their regional championship.
At the Senior level, two regional events are happening in May for men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestlers:
Northeast Regional Championships in East Stroudsburg, Pa., May 1-3
Northern Plains Regional Championships will be in Waterloo, Iowa, May 14-16.
The Senior division of these events are open tournaments and the champions in Men’s Freestyle qualify for the 2015 Senior World Team Trials.
At the Junior level, there are seven regional events taking place:
Northwest Regional Championships will be held in Battle Ground, Wash., March 27-29
Northeast Regional Championships will be held in East Stroudsburg, Pa., May 1-3
Western Junior Regional will be held in Las Vegas, Nev., May 5-8
Northern Plains Regional Championships will be held in Waterloo, Iowa,May 14-16
Central Regional Championships will be in Indianapolis, Ind., May 15-17
Southeast Regional Championships will be held in Atlanta, Ga., May 22-24
Southern Plains Regional Championships will be held in Dodge City, Kan., May 29-31
At the Cadet level, wrestlers may compete in the following events:
