Sunkist Kids announces Submission Grappling program for adults taught by UFC legend Dan Severn

The Sunkist Kids Wrestling Club, Inc. is excited to announce the implementation of the new submission grappling program, featuring UFC Hall of Famer Dan “The Beast” Severn.


The program is now open Tuesday and Thursday nights at the Sun Devil Wrestling Training Center in Tempe, Ariz., from 7:15-8:45pm. The cost of this special program is $80/month.


The Sun Devil Wrestling Training Center is at the Riches Training Complex, 600 S. Rural Rd., Tempe AZ 85287.


Dan Severn has joined the Sunkist program as a coach, teacher and instructor. Severn is an Arizona State University Hall of Fame wrestler, NCAA All-American wrestler, three-time UFC champion, MMA legend, wrestling and mixed martial arts ambassador, television commentator, and movie actor.


Dan has traveled the globe teaching various forms of the fighting arts since 1980. Dan Severn’s span of almost 40 years teaching seminars has molded him into one of the most respected teachers of MMA Grappling techniques worldwide. Dan holds a black belt in Judo, Sambo and Jiu-Jitsu.


Dan’s focus will be teaching submission wrestling techniques to adults 18 years and older.


Submission Wrestling is a formula of competition and a general term describing the aspect of martial arts that focuses on clinch and ground techniques with the aim of obtaining a submission using submission holds.The sport of submission wrestling brings together techniques from Folk Wrestling(Catch-as-catch-can), Luta Livre Esportiva, Freestyle Wrestling, Brazilian JiuJitsu, Judo and Sambo.
