William Grant appointed to fill vacancy of Secretary for USAW Board of Directors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Wrestling President James Ravannack would like to announce the appointment of William Grant to fill the vacancy of Secretary for the organization’s Board of Directors.
Ravannack appointed Grant to the position on Aug. 1. Grant will fill the vacancy as Board Secretary through the USA Wrestling Officer Elections later this month.
Grant, an attorney from Inverness, Fla., has been an active and important member of USA Wrestling in a number of different capacities.
Grant is a member of USA Wrestling’s Board of Directors and he also serves as Chair of the Women’s Sports Committee for the organization. He also is the USA Wrestling State Chairman for Florida.
“I appreciate the confidence extended by President Ravannack,” Grant said. “I will continue to serve USA Wrestling in whatever capacity my skills can be used.”
Grant also has served as a top referee at the Senior level. He has been the tournament director for a number of USA Wrestling’s top events, including the 2014 U.S. World Team Trials in Greco-Roman and the 2012 Pan American Olympic Qualifier.
“Bill Grant has been a very valuable part of USA Wrestling,” Ravannack said. “He serves on our Board and is the chair for one of our largest committees. He’s made great contributions to the organization and has provided excellent leadership as well.”
