USA Wrestling is proud to announce the creation of the Geared for Success program. Partnered with All-American Wrestling Supply, the program will debut at the Tour of America – King of the Mountain tournament in Castle Rock, Colo., on December 6-7.
New and gently used wrestling gear will be collected and distributed to clubs and athletes in need. Eligible donations will receive a 10% off coupon to be applied to new gear through All-American Wrestling Supply.
“Based on discussions with local officials and club leaders, I saw a need to provide underprivileged youth with the equipment to help them succeed in our sport,” said Tiffany Clark, USA Wrestling’s Coordinator of National Events. “Sports equipment is expensive, especially for growing athletes. I wouldn’t want anyone to be turned away from wrestling because of such as issue. I am happy that All-American has joined the program and provided people with an incentive to give to others prior to the holiday season.”
The gear collected at the King of the Mountain event will be distributed to clubs throughout the state of Colorado that have been identified as having a need for such items.
Equipment will also be accepted at the USA Wrestling office in Colorado Springs.
Recommended items include new or gently used wrestling shoes, running shoes, singlets, knee pads, headgear, and equipment bags.
