Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational underway, with 11 ranked teams on display

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The first whistle has blown at the 32nd Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational in Las Vegas, Nev., one of the top college wrestling events every season.
There are 11 teams ranked in the Top 25 in the nation based upon the NWCA/USA Today/AWN poll this week, including No. 4 Oklahoma, No. 6 Cornell, No. 8 Ohio State and No. 10 Nebraska.
Each of the 10 weight classes will have numerous nationally-ranked athletes, making this an early season preview of the action expected at this year’s NCAA Championships.
Two-time NCAA champion Logan Stieber of Ohio State (141) and past NCAA champion Andrew Howe of Oklahoma (174) are among the stars on the mat. Stieber won the 2012 Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational title down at 133 pounds.
R.J. Pena of Oregon State (157) and Robert Kokesh of Nebraska (174) are also returning champions.
