Preseason Nationals sold out, but 150 extra spots announced

For the second straight year, the USA Wrestling Preseason Nationals has sold out, hitting its cap of 1,500 entries.
However, there will be an opportunity for an additional 150 wrestler to enter the tournament, starting September 30 in the afternoon.
The registration entry fee will be $100 per wrestler, and 100 percent of the entry fees will go directly to the University of Northern Iowa Wrestling Program to support the UNI Panthers.
Currently, there are 30 states represented in the Preseason Nationals, including: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
This event showcases 5 divisions:
- Grade School Division 1(1-2 grade) - 110 Wrestlers Registered
- Grade School Division 2 (3-4 grade)- 166 Wrestlers Registered
- Grade School Division 3 (5-6 grade)- 211 Wrestlers Registered
- Middle School (7-8 grade)- 269 Wrestlers Registered
- High School (9-12 grade)- 744 Wrestlers Registered
The event is Saturday, October 29 and will start at 9 a.m. in the UNI Dome at the University of Northern Iowa.
