Lakeland College in Wisconsin to host USAW Making A Difference Tournament Nov. 13

Several college wrestling programs have run USA Wrestling Making A Difference tournaments already this preseason. Another event is coming to Lakeland College, a Division III program in Plymouth, Wisc., on November 13


Lakeland College head coach Mike DeRoehn was named USA Wrestling's Kids Person of the Year in 2011 with his work with developmental programs in Wisconsin.


Making a Difference Tournaments focus on supporting college wrestling with all the money raised going directly to help support college level programs. The series allows athletes to wrestle as USA Wrestling members for the tournament without buying a membership card.


At Lakeland, divisions will be as follows: Novice (00-01), Schoolboy (98-99), Cadet (Born 96-97), Junior (Born after Sept. 1, 1992 and currently enrolled in high school).


The tournament will also feature the Lakeland Coaching Staff.

- $15 for walk-in/on-site registration

- No USA Membership required - paid registration includes USA Wrestling membership for the day
