U.S. wrestlers receive draws for first day of Granma Cup in Cuba

HAVANA, Cuba - Six U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers weighed in and received their first-round draws at the 2011 Granma Cup.
Competition begins at three weight classes on Wednesday: 55 kg/121 lbs., 66 kg/145.5 lbs. and 84 kg/185 lbs.
There are two Greco-Roman Team USA members competing at 55 kg/121 lbs.: 2009 U.S. Open champion Jermaine Hodge (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) as well as Nate Engel (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army).
Competing at 66 kg/145.5 lbs. is 2007 and 2010 U.S. Open champion Glenn Garrison, (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) as well as Kerry Regner (Darlington, Pa./Sunkist Kids).
Wrestling at 84 kg/185 lbs. is 2010 U.S. Open champion Cheney Haight (Boise Idaho/New York AC) as well as Talan Knox (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids).
The complete draw for all three weight classes is listed below.
The final four Greco-Roman weight classes will be contested on Thursday.
It will be a busy week of wrestling in Havana, as the Cerro Pelado International in freestyle will follow. Women's freestyle is on Friday, with men's freestyle on Saturday and Sunday. The U.S. has a team entered in the men's freestyle tournament.
