The Athlete Advisory Committee (AAC) is now up for election.
In the bylaws the charge of the committee is simply stated (6.2.9) "Athlete Advisory Committee. Shall consider issues of the corporation which affect active athletes."
Wrestlers who have been active athletes in the last ten years are eligible to either self-nominate or nominate others. If another wrestler is nominated, they must be willing to serve on the committee.
Nominees will be voted on by the top six athletes in the past four years. Voting will begin on July 6th and terminate on July 19th.
The AAC is a two year term, meeting once a month for a conference call. There are three representatives per style on the committee.
Anyone who is interested should contact Sam Sieracki either by email, ssieracki@usawrestling.org or phone (719) 598-8181. Nominations close on July 5th.
If you have questions, please contact National Teams Director Mitch Hull at mhull@usawrestling.org or by phone (719) 598-8181.
