After University Nationals, field expanded for the World Team Trials in Council Bluffs, Iowa, June 11-12

The field for the 2010 World Team Trials in Council Bluffs, Iowa, June 11-12 has been expanded, based upon the results from the ASICS University Nationals in Akron, Ohio.

This World Team Trials will determine the athletes who will represent the United States at the 2010 World Wrestling Championships in Moscow, Russia in Greco-Roman, men's freestyle and women's freestyle.

Athletes must qualify to participate in the World Team Trials through a series of qualifying events and performance standards.

A list of athletes who have already qualified is posted below.

The next major qualifying event is the U.S. Open Wrestling Championships in Cleveland, Ohio, set for April 23-24. The top seven placewinners in each weight class from this event advances on to Council Bluffs. After the U.S. Open, there will be last-chance Regional Championships events available for athletes to earn their spot in the field.
