U.S. wrestlers Bunch, Herbert and Dlagnev receive draws for Men’s Freestyle competition

U.S. wrestlers Shawn Bunch, Jake Herbert and Tervel Dlagnev all made weight and received their draws for the 2009 World Wrestling Championships in Herning, Denmark for competition on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
Bunch (Columbus, Ohio/Gator WC), representing the U.S. at 60kg (132 pounds), draws Bulgaria's Anatolie Guidea in the opening round. Guidea was third in the 2008 European Championships and the runner-up in the 2007 World Championships in Baku.
Guildea's runner-up finish in 2007 was his best finish at the World Championships since his fourth-place finish in 2001.
Also in Bunch's quadrant of the bracket is Uzbekistan's Dilshod Mansurov, a 2005 World Champion and fifth-place finisher at the 2008 Olympic Games.
Jake Herbert (Chicago, Ill./New York AC) has 37 wrestlers in his bracket and will not have a qualification match, but will take to the mat in the first round against Germany's David Bichinashvili, a fifth-place finisher in the 2008 Olympic Games and in two previous appearances in the World Championships, has placed in the top ten.
Herbert beat Bichinashvili in the finals of the 2008 Dave Schultz Memorial.
Tervel Dlagnev (Columbus, Ohio/Sunkist Kids) faces Hungary's Jeszup Nunajev in the First Round, with the winner facing either China's Shitao Song or Belarus' Alexei Shemarov.
Competition starts at 1 p.m. local time on Tuesday.
