COLUMBUS, Ohio - Casey Fredericks, Ohio State wrestling head coach from 1948-76, died Sunday.

One of the highlights during Fredericks' career was guiding the Scarlet and Gray to its second Big Ten Conference title in 1951. Ohio State finished the season unbeaten with a 7-0-1 record. Fredericks was the first Buckeye head coach to eclipse 100 wins (136) and is responsible for six All-Americans, including Dave Reinbolt, who was a national champion in 1966.

Former Ohio State volunteer coach and 1972 Big Ten Champion Jim Humphrey also wrestled under the tutelage of Fredericks.
