We arrived in Taiyuan, China yesterday. Our trip Started early Monday morning. We left Colorado Springs at 6:00 am - and Left Chicago for Beijing at about 12:30 pm on Monday. We arrived the Chicago Airport and the Team got a workout in at the Chicago Airport. It made the flight a little more tolerable. The flight lasted about 13 hours straight to Beijing.
Once we arrived Beijing, we had the evening to acclimate a bit. The team went on a shopping trip to the silk market. If you have ever been there, it is a workout in itself. But the women enjoyed themselves and got out and walked some of the jet lag off. The next morning the girls worked out and some went shopping after that before we left for Taiyuan.
Thursday was the first time we were back on the mat. Last night, we went to a health club and this morning we ran and wrestled in the parking lot of the hotel. The food is good and the accomodations are very good as well.
I will keep you all in the loop as things move forward. Weigh-ins are tomorrow and wrestling starts on Saturday. I have a good feeling about this team. Right now, they are being very professional in their approach.
