FARGO, N.D. - Michigan's Taylor Massa stands one victory from history.
Massa remains alive in his quest to win his second straight Triple Crown in Cadets.
The 16-year-old Massa, a Cadet champion at Folkstyle Nationals earlier this year, is trying to become the first wrestler to win back-to-back Triple Crowns in the Cadet division. Massa is from St. Johns, Mich.
Massa advanced to Monday afternoon's finals in the Cadet Nationals Greco-Roman competition. He will face Dylan Reel of Illinois in the finals at 152 pounds. If Massa wins, he will then need to win the Cadet freestyle title on Friday to complete the Triple Crown again.
Massa, who will be a high school sophomore, went 62-0 and won a Michigan state high school title as a freshman in 2009.
The Cadet Nationals Greco-Roman finals are set for 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Two other returning Cadet National double champions from Fargo - Nick Roberts of Pennsylvania (98) and Mark Grey of New Jersey (112) - also advanced to the finals on Monday morning.
Roberts will face Minnesota's Sam Brancale in the finals. Brancale won a Triple Crown in the Schoolboy division in 2008.
Grey will battle Michigan's Ben Whitford in the finals.
Tyler Fraley of New Jersey, a Junior Nationals champion in freestyle in 2008, has reached the Cadet Nationals Greco-Roman finals. Fraley will meet Virginia's Joey Dance in the finals at 105.
