2009-10 Folkstyle Tour of America and the 2009-10 U.S. Future Olympian Rankings debut this weekend with the Salt Lake Slam
USA Wrestling's Folkstyle Tour of America begins its third season on December 5th with the 2009 Salt Lake Slam in Heber City, UT at the Wasatch County Events Center.
The Salt Lake Slam also marks the beginning of the second year for the U.S. Future Olympian Rankings, presented by Dollamur Sport Surfaces. This program ranks the top 25 wrestlers at each weight class from the Intermediate division through Juniors throughout the year based on each wrestlers performance in various USA Wrestling events.
Last year over 400 wrestlers participated in the Salt Lake Slam, and tournament director Cole Kelley is expecting a big increase in numbers.
The tournament offers competition for Bantams through Middle School, all with the chance to get a head start on this year's U.S. Future Olympian Rankings.
Online registration for the event closes December 3rd at 12:30 PM Mountain Time.
