Ramirez named Coordinator of Wrestling Officials for Big Ten and Big 12 conferences

Jim Ramirez has been appointed Coordinator of Wrestling Officials for the Big Ten and Big 12 Conferences.
Ramirez will be responsible for the assignment, evaluation, and training of the leagues' officials, while also serving as the liaison to NCAA officiating committees. His extensive background in the field includes officiating 16 NCAA Division I National Wrestling Tournaments, numerous Pac-10 and Big Ten Conference tournaments, and conducting more than 30 nation-wide clinics for high school wrestling referees. He also authored the book The Art of Officiating College Wrestling.
The Arkansas City, Kan., native has served as a city commissioner and mayor for Arkansas City as well as executive director and TQM Training Manager for Boeing Airplanes.
