Thielke named OW in FILA Cadet Nationals after winning Greco-Roman title

AKRON, Ohio - Jesse Thielke's phenomenal run at USA Wrestling events continues.
The talented young Wisconsin standout added yet another gold trophy to his collection after winning a FILA Cadet Nationals Greco-Roman title on Friday at the University of Akron.
Thielke captured the title at 54 kg/119 lbs. He swept Drew Van Anrooy of Oregon 6-0, 6-0 in the finals.
Thielke was named Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament.
Another top young prospect, Jahwon Akui of Illinois, continued to shine in USA Wrestling national competition.
Akui, a double Cadet Nationals champion in Fargo last year, won a FILA Cadet Nationals title in Greco-Roman on Friday. He rolled to a 7-0, 7-1 win over Missouri's Patrick Rhoads in the finals at 76 kg/167.5 lbs.
The FILA Cadets will compete in the freestyle competition on Saturday and Sunday in Akron.
