World Sports Alliance, is looking for a university team interested in traveling to Malta July 11-13th, 2008, to participate in the 11th seventh annual Malta Amateur Wrestling Friendship Competition.
This competition is reserved for athletes who have not previously competed on a World Championship level. Wrestlers who have competed in the Olympics, World University Championships, World Championships (Junior, Cadet, Military or Senior) or World Team Championships are ineligible.
The restriction is intended to create space for less experienced competitors. This tournament would be an appropriate level for any University or Junior College Program, with the exception of the elite Division 1 programs. Additional training with the clubs from Malta may be possible before or after the competition.
The Republic of Malta consists of three Islands, situated in the center of the Mediterranean Sea, just 80 kilometers off the southern coast of Sicily, Italy. It is a beautiful country with rock and sandy beaches, sea caves, picturesque fishing villages, cosmopolitan towns and fascinating history. Sightseeing tours will be arranged.
For more information coaches should call World Sports Alliance, at 719-260-8625.
