84 kg/185 lbs. - Andy Hrovat (Ann Arbor, Mich.)

On the loss to the Cuban:
"He came out and wasn't shooting. He wasn't even taking re-shots when he had them. I didn't push the pace hard enough. I needed to take three or four shtos and keep on him more."

On the last sequence where the Cuban won the match:
"I did everything I was coached to do. The leg was there and I took it. I ran it down and he countered it and he scored."

U.S. Coach Kevin Jackson (Colorado Springs, Colo.)

On Daniel Cormier being pulled out of the tournament:
"Daniel just didn't recover from making his weight yesterday. He was dehydrated and he actually started to feel better last night around midnight. We talked to him again this morning, but we determined that he just wouldn't be ready to compete."

On Hrovat's loss:
"Andy didn't come close to wrestling to his ability or our expectations. We lost to a guy we thought we were better than. We're very disappointed."

On Mocco's quarterfinal loss:
"He started the tournament off real strong. He was in a position to win and didn't. We spend hours after hours working on the clinch position, especially at heavyweight where there is limited scoring. Many periods and matches come down to that position. It's very frustrating with his inability to finish in the clinch position."

U.S. Assistant Coach Sean Bormet (Naperville, Ill.)

On Hrovat's loss:
"He didn't press that guy enough. The guy was being very defensive. Andy allowed the guy to stand too long. The biggest mistake was the second period and letting it come down to one position. In my mind, that was a bigger mistake than getting caught in the third period.
