The 2008 NWCA International Wrestling tour will travel to Bulgaria and Macedonia, June 2-11. In Bulgaria, the team will train and participate in several dual meets against Bulgarian wrestlers. Team USA will then travel to nearby Macedonia to participate in the Pearl of Macedonia International Wrestling Tournament.
The wrestling delegation will be comprised of a Division I Team and a second team which will combine wrestlers from NCAA Div 2, 3 and NAIA schools. Several spots remain available for wrestlers to join the combined team. The division 1 team and the combined division team will train and travel together.
This tour provides a special opportunity for wrestlers from smaller schools to have the opportunity to train and compete alongside wrestlers from strong Div 1 programs. Some of the Division 1 programs sending wrestlers include the University of Iowa, Penn State and Michigan.
Interested university wrestlers or coaches should call Wade Genova at 888-972-8687. Space is limited so call quickly.
